Pull up a chair, share your plate, and enjoy a cold one at Butcher and the Brewer, a popular restaurant and brewery on the trendy, East 4th St. block in Downtown Cleveland.
Butcher and the Brewer’s unique atmosphere is quickly making it a favorite among locals. With entrées made to share with neighbors and public house seating, it uses meals to increase interaction and build a sense of community among its customers.
Their locally-sourced, seasonal menu, which can include items such as Steak Tartare and Carolina Shrimp & Grits, has as much to offer in diversity as their craft beer menu. Butcher and the Brewer is managed by Cleveland Brewing Company, so naturally it houses its own brewmaster and custom on-site brewery. The beverage menu offers a varied range of classic brews with a modern, alchemist twist.
Olde Wood Ltd. was lucky enough to be a part of the design process for Butcher and the Brewer. The restaurant is a one-of-a-kind, modern brewpub, so custom wide plank flooring was created to represent the restaurant's unique characteristics.To create a mix of historic and modern design, Reclaimed Antique Historic Plank was chosen to be the restaurant’s wide plank flooring.
A blend of reclaimed hardwoods, Antique Historic Plank features a rich mix of characteristics such as saw marks, natural checking, color, and texture. It is available in widths from 3" to 12" and lengths of 2' to 12' for a true wide plank flooring experience. With hardwood harvested from centuries-old agricultural and industrial structures, Antique Historic Plank brings the communal values and traditions of previous eras into the 21st century - much like Butcher and the Brewer.
