Reclaimed Wood and More in Ohio

There's just something about seeing wood with your own eyes, running your hands over the hardwood, and talking to a Design Specialist face-to-face that makes it easier to visualize our hardwood in your home. Our Showroom is located in Magnolia, Ohio and features hundreds of samples of reclaimed flooring, traditional hardwood, beams, timbers, mantels, and much more! There are also plenty of fun activities in the area, so come for the day or stay for the weekend. We've outlined a few of our favorite things to do in this article, but the possibilities are endless.

Buying wide plank flooring is a big decision. After all, our custom hardwood floors are built to last a lifetime, which means you have to live with them, well....forever! Sometimes it's helpful to see, touch, and feel the beauty of reclaimed wood and traditional wide plank flooring before you purchase it.

Luckily, you can do just that at our beautiful 5,000 square foot showroom and manufacturing facility located in Magnolia, Ohio. In our showroom, you will find hundreds of samples of our authentic barn siding and our Reclaimed Antique and Traditional Plank wide plank flooring. You will also see one-of-a-kind hand hewn wooden fireplace mantels, reclaimed barn beams and timbers, wooden stair parts, wooden vents, and other unique wooden accessories.

Visiting us is easy because our Ohio showroom is accessible from Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Columbus, and Pittsburgh. If you are contemplating coming to see us, it could be worth a weekend trip! Olde Wood Ltd.'s Showroom is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and there are many local attractions where you can play, eat and stay. We've composed a list of our favorite places, but the possibilities are endless.

WHAT TO DO:

There are many local attractions located within an hours drive of Olde Wood. Sports fanatics, art lovers, outdoorsy types, history buffs and everyone in between will find something of interest in Northeast Ohio.

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME

Located about 17 minutes North of Olde Wood, this has been rated Ohio's Top Tourist Attraction. With an emphasis on the NFL, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is the hall of fame for professional football.

CANTON ARTS DISTRICT

Canton, Ohio has a thriving arts district with number galleries, artist studios, music venues, fine dining experiences, unique shops and trendy bars.

HISTORIC ZOAR VILLAGE

In 1817, 200 German Separatists settled in Zoar, Ohio to escape religious persecution. Today, visitors can tour the museums, shop for antiques and other goods, eat at the local restaurants, stay at bed and breakfasts, and enjoy the quaint village.

ATWOOD LAKE RESORT AND GOLF CLUB

Enjoy the beauty and exciting activities found at Atwood Lake Resort. Amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a Par-3 golf course, hiking trails, restaurants, and boating will entertain guests for days. Other activities nearby include several wineries, theaters, Amish Country attractions, museums, and a canoe livery.

LEHMAN'S and Amish Country

What started out in 1955 as a small store in Kidron, OH has grown to be a nationally and internationally renowned hub of products reminiscent of a simpler time. More information on the store can be found here. Also, Holmes County, Wayne County, and Stark County are home to one of the world's largest Amish population. Take a step back and time in relax on your memorable trip.


WHERE TO EAT:

TAGGART'S

This restaurant has locations in Magnolia and Canton and has been a local favorite since 1926. Here you can enjoy food made from scratch and ice cream in all kinds of flavors.

CIBO'S

Set in an old movie theater, Cibo's in Waynesburg, Ohio is an Italian restaurant serving delicious homemade pastas and bread. Tourists from all over the world come to taste the renown Italian recipes and sauce. Cibo's is open Thursday - Sunday.

GERVASI VINEYARD

Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, OH is best described by its mission, which is "To provide guests with a beautiful experience that appeals to all the senses by integrating the pleasures of wine, food, atmosphere, tradition, and service...." It offers four ways to dine at their location, Villa Suites if you wish to stay, wine tastings and tours of its winery, all at a picturesque location.

HART MANSION

Hart Mansion sits on a hill, offering views of Minerva, Ohio below. The Mansion was built in 1869 and is a classic example of Italianate architecture. Most of the original elements of the home have been restored, offering a truly unique and classy dining experience.


WHERE TO STAY:

As previously mentioned, the Historic Village of Zoar, Atwood Lake, and Gervasi Vineyard offer overnight accommodations for guests, but there are other unique lodgings. Also, there are many chain hotels located in the area.

MCKINLEY GRAND HOTEL

This hotel was originally part of a chain but then was changed to an independent, boutique hotel. Amenities include an indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, 165 guest rooms, two restaurants, and shuttle service to the Akron Canton Airport.

THE SPREAD EAGLE TAVERN

An Inn and Restaurant, the Spread Eagle Tavern in Hanoverton, Ohio was built in 1837. Enjoy dining at its fine restaurant or stay in one of the five guest rooms fashioned after the colonial times in which it was built, but with modern conveniences.
